W.C. ToddyMay 3, 1940 - January 10, 2012 Mr. W.C. Toddy of Trumann was born on Friday, May 3, 1940, son of the late Owen and Eula Novella Toddy. He died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Trumann Health and Rehabilitation Center, at the age of 71 years 8 months and 7 days. He was born and a lifetime resident of Trumann, graduated from Trumann High School in 1958, was a veteran serving 11 years in the U.S. Air Force, and while serving as an Air Policeman in both the U.S. and Europe he provided on several occasions Honor Guard services to Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. After moving to Vicksburg, MI, Mr. Toddy worked for the First National Bank and Trust as an Asst. Manager, he then moved back to Trumann and later became a Detective Lieutenant on the Trumann Police Dept. and the Chief of Police on the Lake City Police Dept. Mr. Toddy was preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Robison, one brother, Rodney Toddy and his parents. Survivors include two daughters, LaDonna Edick and husband Mark of Schoolcraft, Mi., Karen and husband Lynn Robison of Trumann; one son, Walker and wife Terry Toddy of Plainwell, Mi., two sisters, Natley Mott and husband Leon of Trumann and Joyce Davis and husband Jimmy of Trumann; six grandchildren, Jonathon Edick, Aaron Robison, Olivia Toddy, Hunter Toddy, Charles Edick and Monica Edick and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday morning at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Todd Mott, David Davis, Chad Davis, Jonathon Edick, Aaron Robison and Charles Edick.
