Don Martin

December 6, 1934 - March 24, 2011

Mr. Don Martin was born on Thursday, December 6, 1934, son of the late C.W. and Janie Wallace Martin. He died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 76 years 3 months and 18 days. He was born in Trumann, and lived his lifetime there. He was a retired manager of Norgas, car dealer, and a maintenance supervisor. Mr Martin was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean war, and a member of VFW Post 1991 out of Jonesboro. Mr. Martin was prededed in death by four sisters, 7 brothers, and his parents. Survivors include one daughter, Donna Murphy of Cherokee Village; one brother, Wayne C. Martin of Florida; two grandchildren, Jennifer Harness, and Mackenzie Williams; and four great-grandchildren, Jagger and Griffin Harness, Jax and Murphy Williams; and a special friend, Judy Lee. Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
