I knew Larry at McCormick and I thought very highly of him. I remember how he could really sing and play the piano. I really liked Larry and he will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

I figured out once that the way you have eternal life on earth is being remembered by all of your friends and family. My cousin Larry and I hit it off from the start. I was the city boy and Larry the country boy. Every ten minutes around him I learned something new about the world. I enjoyed walking along the ditch bank with him looking for crawdads. I loved shooting marbles under the porch. I loved going to town with the guy that everybody knew and waved to. I loved listening to him sing. He was my best friend and I never had another one as good. Whether it was sliding an ice cold co-cola out of the drink box or getting an ice cream cone, it was a new and enjoyable experience for me. When Mom and Dad started planning our annual Arkansas vacation, I lit up like a light bulb—going to see Larry and Trish! I will never forget those wonderful days. Larry will live on in my mind until the day I die. He was one great guy in every sense of the word and the world will be a little dimmer in his absence.

TuTu, I will miss the fun we had the way you made me laugh and our chocolate contest we had the last time we were able to be together (remember I won). But I also want to thank a member of your family that wasn't mentioned in the memorial tribute, Andy for standing by you and taking such great care of you these last several years. I feel we were able to keep you as long as we did because of that. I love you and I miss you, your niece Anita.

Larry was an inspiration to me as a singer when we were in school together. His barbershop and choral talents were tremendous. Our prayers and thoughts are with all the family at this difficult time.

To the family of Larry Carter, It has been a very long time since I have seen Larry but I remember him as a very funny and happy person. Those days at McCormick were some of the best years of our lives. Our families have been friends forever. I am truly saddened by your loss and I pray for your comfort during this time. God Bless and comfort you, Hester

Larry was one of my dearest friends. We had so much fun in Forrest City Little Theater. My daddy, Robert Doyle and Larry used to sing together with Mr. Eddie Fleeman and Mr. Stevie Stevens. I also remember his collection of giraffes. He gave me a set as a wedding gift and I still have them after several moves. What wonderful memories I have of Larry. My prayers go to Linda and Chip and Debbie and Jim and all his family. He was much loved.
