Larry Wendell Toone

November 1, 1942 - January 7, 2011

Mr. Larry Wendell Toone was born on Sunday, November 1, 1942, son of the late Jesse Wendell Toone and Mary Irene Ray Toone. He died Friday, January 7, 2011 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 68 years 2 Months and 6 Days. He was born and a lifetime resident of Trumann. Mr. Toone was a retired truck driver, veteran of the Army National Guard and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Trumann. He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Bryan Toone, and his father, Jesse Wendell Toone. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patsy Ann Gray Toone of the home; one daughter, Hollie Stevens and husband Jeff of Trumann; mother, Irene Toone of Trumann; two sisters, Susan Schnepf and Kelly Thorn both of Trumann; one brother, Danny Toone of Flint, Mich.; two grandsons, Jesse and Justin Stevens. Funeral service will be Monday, January 10, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Austin Missey officiating. Burial will follow in Willis Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark. Pallbearers will be Derek Lueallen, Mike Beeson, Cory Beeson, Maurice Marsolan, Robert Schnepf and Jason Schnepf. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Davis, Jimmy Davis, Braden Byrd, Henry Secrease, Wayne Waters, Jesse Williams, Oliver Hinds, Phil Smith and Johnny Whitlatch. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
