Ruth Chaffin

July 23, 1917 - April 9, 2010

Mrs. Ruth Chaffin was born on Monday, July 23, 1917, daughter of the late Claud and Clara Harris Kissinger. Mrs. Chaffin died Friday, April 9, 2010 at Trumann Health and Rehab, at the age of 92 years 8 months and 17 days. She was born in and lived her lifetime in Trumann. Mrs. Chaffin was a homemaker and a member of the Melton Avenue Church of Christ in Trumann. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Chaffin Sr. and Jimmy Joe Chaffin both of Trumann, and Billy Chaffin Sr. of Arkadelphia, Ark.; six grandchildren, Barry Chaffin, Kenny Chaffin, Billy Chaffin Jr., Bobby Chaffin Jr., Jackie Harrison, and Terry Strange; 15 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Private graveside service will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro with Ronnie Benson officiating. Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann is in charge of arrangements.
