Leslie T. "Les" CoffeyJuly 24, 1927 - February 20, 2010 Mr. Leslie T. Coffey was born on Sunday, July 24, 1927, son of the late John Walter and Ethel Kendrick Coffey. Mr. Coffey died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 27 days. He was born in Olyphant, Ark., and had lived in Bay for the past 57 years coming from Sikeston, MO. He was the founder and retired owner from the Coffey Plumbing Company and was a Methodist. Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Coffey in 2007, one son, Kenneth Coffey, two sisters, four brothers, and his parents. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Falmer, of Heber Springs, Barbara McGuire and Lawanda Jiles of Jackson, MS.; two sons, Leslie Dwight Coffey of Chattanooga, TN., and Thurman Coffey of Trumann; one brother, Doyle Coffey, of Jonesboro, Ark.; two sisters, Martha Johnson and Ruby Coffey both of Jonesboro; sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Graveside service will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Shane Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR., under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
