J.P. Penter was a good friend to my mom and dad. He visited with them at the Western Auto in Trumann, Ar. many times. He was fun to be around and had good, clean stories to tell about fishing and hunting. When I was young and worked in the store, he and Mrs. Penter were always a pleasure to visit.

I was so sorry to hear of J.P.'s passing. I have fond memories of him. I use to hunt with him when he would come to Gay's lake house. I was sixteen years old at the time. Boy, did we have fun. I have always thought JP Penter was a good man that did the right things to encourage his family,and friends to be better people.WhatI remember most about JP was his easy going attitude,and work ethics that were matched by few.He was of the greatest generation and the America people, will always be indebted to that generation. For it was that generation that has allowed freedom to continue ringing and democracy to spread through their unselfishness.

Dennis, these old timers are fading fast,but look at the good memories we have of all of them during are growing up days and farming days when we all started out farming. The days that we would meet at the John Deere place and set around and listen to all the latest ways to set a disc or breaking plow. I miss my Dad and all the old timers and you will also.
